Sign up deadline for Squash Pods (beginners welcome!)

A new initiative Irish Squash have introduced to assist in returning to normal play for Squash.
Irish Squash in consultation with Sport Ireland supports the introduction of “Squash Pods” which is consistent with public health advice for the Covid 19 pandemic.
What is a Squash Pod?
  • It is a small group of players within the same club who agree to play and/or train with each other on a regular basis.
  • Pods may consist of 2 to 6 members.
  • A player may only be part of one pod at a time.
  • This pod will remain unchanged for 8 weeks.
  • A pod may be run as a Round Robin.
Our aim is to run these pods as a Round Robin event. We are inviting people of every level to enter and they will be assigned to a pod accordingly. Each Pod will be given a colour as opposed to a grade or division. Most pods will contain six players depending on entries and standard.
In particular, we would like to invite new players to partake in the Pods. With the winter approaching this is an excellent opportunity to try Squash in your own comfort zone and with familiar faces. We will assist with equipment for new players where possible also. If you are interested in trying squash or would like to find out more please email Eoin at squashcaptain@sundayswell.ie
