Ladder Cup Sign Up Open

Sign up for the annual ladder cup will take place from Dec 4th until December 22nd. All entries will be done through Tournament Software this year and must be accompanied by entry fee €15 (€5 for the Ladder Cup, €10 towards the diner).to enter the tournament please click the button below.

A singles tournament open to all levels

• €15 entry includes a discounted ticket for Ladder Cup dinner date TBC.
• The entry must be accompanied by entry fee
• Entries close December 22nd 2019

Sunday’s Well’s annual Ladder Cup(s) is a singles knock-out competition:

• The same scoring system as in the Singles Ladder (first to 10 games) until Semi-Final stage.
• Like the mixed Singles ladder, it is a mixed tournament.
• The event is open to all members over 16 years of age.

The exact format of the competition will depend on the number of people who enter, but all players will play at least 3 matches and end up in one of 3 Cup competitions:

• The Mardyke Cup,
• The Normandy Cup, or
• The Lee Cup

The event will be seeded based on current ladder positions,  previous results for former ladder players, and any other available information as appropriate. As previously, the plan is to run the Cups over the first few months of 2019. To encourage participation in the finals night party the entry fee this year will be €15 (€5 for the Ladder Cup, €10 towards the party).  Competitors will then get a €10 discount on the party ticket.

Results in this competition will be used to do the annual once-off adjustment to the groups in the ongoing mixed Singles Ladder – to allow better players to advance more quickly to a group more appropriate to their standard.
