Meet the Instructors

The club has three gym instructors, all of which have different strengths and qualifications. Many offer private training sessions. Should you wish to organise a private session, their phone numbers and rates are available from the Club office.

Amanda, a fitness instructor with an impressive 26 years experience has found her calling in the world of health and fitness. Her journey into this profession was a career change, considering her initial background in the tech industry after studying business in MTU. Amanda's wide range of qualifications in Pilates, Spin, Exercise and the older adult, pre/post natal fitness,  Reebok flow, step aerobics and more demonstrate her commitment to providing a wide range of fitness expertise. Amanda loves teaching classes in a safe and supportive manner and is known for her warm client-centric approach. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned  practitioner,  Amanda will support your fitness journey.
Marc Smith

Gym Instructor & Personal Trainer
Marc Smith (MSc. (Dip), B.A. (Hons), PPL, NTCPT, SAQ2, IRFU2,  Marc is a fully qualified exercise and nutrition specialist. Marc has been a personal trainer and exercise specialist for over 20 years. Marc has been teaching Pilates for over 17 years and is always researching new ways to improve his classes. Combined with his personal training skills, and his role as fitness/strength and conditioning coach with teams, Marc can spot problems in individuals more easily in large classes and make the necessary recommendations.  Marc has worked closely with athletes across various sports on program development and implementation from running to strength, core strength, and mobility and flexibility. Marc is currently training a number of top athletes in the fields of athletics and Triathlon. He also trains a number of individuals to reach their running goals, whether its to start running and complete a 5k or run a sub-three-hour marathon, there are numerous people following his programmes.  Marc has also coached various Rugby and Hockey teams as a strength and conditioning coach.
