1. Senior Close
The Induchem Senior Club Close took place in mid-September, with 152 members competing. Thank you to my Tennis Committee and Ger Flynn for helping organise the event. Thank you to our key sponsor, the Iduchem Group.
The Club Tennis Awards were also presented, congratulations to the winners,
- Volunteer of the Year – Tara Higgins
- Social Player of the Year – Triona Fitzgerald
- New Player of the Year – Steve Cole
- Most Improved Player of the Year – Lauren O’Sullivan
Well done to all the winners and everyone who participated in a great Internal Championship. Please see here some photos from the week.
2. Winter League Phase 1
The Winter League Phase 1 is just about to start, best of luck to all our teams taking part. The draw is now published here: Draw URL
3. American Tournament
The first of our American Tournaments (Social Friday events) is set for Friday, November 1st. Only 32 players can be accommodated on an individual night so sign up quickly to ensure a spot for your grade’s group.
This is open to all grades. There will be three separate competitions within the tournament to cater for all grades. We would encourage more of the higher grades to get involved. There is a €5 entry fee which will include pizza, a complimentary beer, mineral or a glass of wine. The remaining nights are Friday, December 6th and Friday, 17th January.

4. Social Tennis
Social tennis this Friday is not on due to the Douglas Social Friendly on Saturday. Will continue as normal for the following weeks 11 Oct, 18 Oct, 25 Oct, and 8 Nov.

5. Douglas Friendly
The Douglas Friendly is this coming Saturday in the Club. Thank you to all who signed up to play.

- Play 17:00-20:00
- Followed by food
6. Carrigaline Friendly
Carrigaline will host a Grade 5 men’s friendly on Saturday, November 9th at 4 p.m. They are looking for eight Grade 5 men to come and play. If you are interested, please sign up here.
7. Event – 125 Black Tie Ball
Our Black Tie Ball will be held in the Silversprings Hotel next Saturday, October 12th. Here is the running order for the evening:
- 19:00 Drinks Reception
- 19:30 Call for dinner
- 19:55 All guests seated
- 20:00 MC will commence the proceedings.
- 20:15 Dinner service will commence
