Sundays Well Squash Club Championship commenced on Monday 25th March and finished on April 13. 20 players competed across 3 sections and there were social drinks held on the club on Finals Night. Munster Veterans' Open 2019
Last weekend (29th-31st March) saw the completion of the Club’s first major event for 2019, the Munster Open Veterans Tournament.Over 165 players from all over the country participated in 28 events from over 35 to over 70 age categories. This was a bigger entry than in 2018. We saw some fantastic tennis from some of the county’s top Veteran tennis players and which was aided in no small part by brilliant sunshine throughout the weekend. Civil Service Cup 2019
On Sunday 31st of March, Sunday’s Well had two teams playing in the Civil Service Cup, an annual interclub event which is held in Douglas Tennis Club. The teams were made up of Robert Murphy, Dermot Carbery, Ann Humphries and Emma Crowley Claire Fennell, Maria Crowley, Hugh Nagle and Ed Donovan Claire’s team reached the semis but were unfortunately beaten by the eventual winners Monkstown. Super Seniors Finals
The finals of our new Super Seniors event took place on December 11th, there was some superb tennis and followed by festive lunch. Over the next few days, Sunday’s Well will play host to some of the World’s top Squash players The excitement is building to this weekend’s Neilly Sull Squash Open. Derval O’ Rourke was delighted to visit the Club recently for a photo shoot to launch this year’s tournament. Junior Cup Winners!
Well done to our U14 team who won the Junior Cup Final yesterday in St Anne’s, beating Killaloe 5-0. National Veterans Close for 2018
From October 12th-14th Sunday’s Well was delighted to host the 34th William Bradley & Co National (Veterans) Close. The competition was run by Munster Branch was a success despite some pretty nasty weather on Saturday, thankfully the finals day on Sunday proved to be a much sunnier day. Insight Senior Close Week
The Insight Senior Close Week took place between September 23rd – 29th and was again well attended with over 100 entries. The Close Week Barbecue was well supported with over 80 people in attendence. Our Summer Cup Finalists
Well done to Donal Johnson, Stuart Ahern, Niall O’Sullivan and Chris McCusker who reached the Summer Cup Finals in Nenagh on September 8th. Unfortunately, they were beaten 3-1 by a very strong Larkspur team in the finals but there is no doubt they did amazingly well to get to the finals and have done the club very proud.
Davy Munster Junior Open

Munster Senior Open
As many of you know the Munster Senior Open was held at the beginning of June. It was a busy week with 30 events, 484 players, 401 matches but it all went very smoothly! Well done to all our players who took part and congratulations to our finalists and winners. Squash Irish Open 2018
What a Squash Irish Open we had this weekend. John Rooney former Irish Professional player from Galway won the men’s over 35 beating defending champion Keith Moran from Sligo, both pictured below. Neal Murphy from Nass successfully defended his over 40 title beating Dara O’Flynn from Fitzwilliam in Dublin 3-1 in the final. Well done to Sundays Well for hosting this prestigious Tournament and to Johnny Hurley as Tournament Director.
