It is with deep regret that we announce the death aged 83 of Declan Healy, a Trustee of Sunday’s Well Boating & Tennis Club. Declan and his wife Margaret joined the Club in the 1980s. June 28th Below is a summary of rules that will apply from Monday 29th: Tennis: Both doubles and singles will be permitted Squash: Solo play will be permitted Snooker: will be open now but must be booked online in advance. Clubhouse: The bar facility will return serving non-alcoholic offerings as well as sandwiches and snacks in line with government requirements at this time. Mr Gordon Exshaw - RIP
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death Gordon Exshaw, former chairman of Sunday’s Well Boating & Tennis Club. Gordon became a member of the club on the urgings of his father, also club chairman in 1933, and proceeded to play a prominent role in club affairs throughout his life. An active tennis and snooker player he was elected to the role of snooker captain in 1972 and the following year became club chairman, a role he filled with distinction. Members' Webinar
In advance of the club re-opening a members’ webinar was held on Sunday 17th May. At the webinar Club Chairman, John O’Sullivan and Club Captain, David Carroll outlined the work done by the club in advance of its re-opening. Sunday's Well is Going Green
In recent months, we have been working to make our club a more environmentally friendly club. LEDs have been put in place in a number of areas around the club and compostable cups and paper straws are have been in the use in the bar for some time. From April, the club will also be removing the use of single-use plastic cups and so it will no longer be providing the plastic cups by the water fountain so members are asked to bring their own reusable bottles and cups going…
New club activities coming soon...
The Social Committee is now organising a number of new group activities, in particular, the following activities are proposed and expressions of interest are now being sought. Book Club Walking Group Pewsey Trip – Interested Members (of all tennis ability) are invited to take part in a return invitation trip to Pewsey LTC in UK late April/early May 2020. Christmas Cracker 2019
The annual Christmas Cracker competition took place on December 27th. The event was again very well attended and players enjoyed some mulled wine and mince pies after their tennis. A number of photos are available on Facebook at this link.
Santa's Visit 2019
On Sunday 16th of December, over 70 of our junior members welcome Santa. Obviously, a very big thanks should go to Santa for popping into us and thanks also to all the to all our helpers who helped us to get ready for the special visit. Neilly Sull 2019
An amazing weekend with over 40 players plus 4 professionals competing for honours in the Neilly Sull Open 2019. This has become one of the dates in the squash calendar that everyone looks forward to. Not only to watch the likes of Joel Makin, the world no.12 showcase his effortless skills but to remember our friend and former club member Neil O Sullivan. Thanks to everyone who supported, played, watched and to Sundays Well for everything they did to make the event run so smoothly. Looking forward to next year…
World University Championships 2019

American Tournament Finals 2019
The finals of the American Tournament took place on Saturday 16th November. Congratulations to the overall winner Cathy Walsh and winners on the evening Catherine O’Riordan and Brian Twomey, a huge thank you must also go to Maria Crowley and her committee for organising the tournament during the year. Induchem Club Championships 2019
The Induchem Club Championships took place between September 22nd – 27th and had a record entry of over 150 entries. This year the format changed significantly and the presentation was done in tandem with the dinner on the Friday night. A massive thank you to our sponsors Induchem and also to Emma Crowley & Claire Fennell, tournament directors and all the committees which helped with the organisation to the event.
